There are two key ideas behind CGP. First, we introduce the concept of provider traits to enable overlapping implementations that are identified by unique provider types. Secondly, we add an extra wiring step to connect those provider implementations to a specific context.
Phi-4-reasoning-vision-15B adopts the 4th approach listed previously, as it balances reasoning capability, inference efficiency, and data requirements. It inherits a strong reasoning foundation but uses a hybrid approach to combine the strengths of alternatives while mitigating their drawbacks.
